Pannier Market

Pannier Market

Just a quick post today as I have been so busy lately with one thing or another (being a parent!) that I have been posting images less frequently than I’d like. I’ve also not had the time to visit all the other fine blogs out there, so hope to catch up with you all soon.

This is the Pannier Market in Barnstaple, North Devon. For 6 days per week this place is filled with stallholders selling their wares. This was taken on a Sunday the only day there is no market in the town. This market place has been going ever since the 1850′s so has seen many a sale!

These Union Jack flags went up to commemorate the Royal wedding last year and have stayed on the rafters ever since!

What a great shot, Marc. I love the lines and the ceiling structure in this. The flags also bring a nice dash of color to contrast with the rest of the scene. Cool marketplace!

Very cool. The shadows and light reflections make some nice natural lines.

  7. The flags really help this image as they provide a wonderful color contrast to the rest of the structure. I also like the level of detail you have pulled out especially in the roof.
